On behalf of the board of directors of the Kauaʻi Island Utility Cooperative, I am inviting you to attend our annual membership meeting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 23.

We’re in the same location as last year, the Kauaʻi Community College Performing Arts Center. The doors will open at 5 and Kauaʻi’s own Paul Togioka, an award-winning slack-key guitarist, will provide music before we start our program.

We’ll talk about what’s happening at our cooperative and report on our progress toward meeting our goal to generate 50 percent of Kauaʻi’s energy through renewable resources.

You are invited to ask questions. You can submit them in advance to info@kiuc.coop and we’ll also take written questions and testimony at the meeting.

No reservations are required. We will provide chili and rice, a bag of rice and energy-saving LED bulbs to the first 350 people who attend the meeting. We look forward to seeing you on July 23.
