Kaua`i residents and visitors are invited to a free screening and talk story session with the filmmakers of “The Fishing Club” on Monday, Dec. 8 from 5:30 p.m.-8 p.m. at Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School Cafeteria. “The Fishing Club” is a made-in-Hawai`i short film that portrays the tension between the pressure to develop land in Hawai`i and the locals’ will to preserve it. “The Fishing Club” stars renowned Kumu Hula Keali`i Reichel and TV Sports Director Robert Kekaula. This event is presented by the Kaua`i Economic Development Board and the Kaua`i Creative Technology Center with support from Hawaiian Airlines.
