Table 53 Selects 40th Annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk As March Beneficiary

Sheraton Kauai Resort will kick off its yearly fundraising for the 40th annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk through the Table 53 program at RumFire at Poipu Beach in March. Throughout the month, all net food and beverage proceeds from Table 53 are donated to local nonprofit organizations. This initiative has raised more than $200,000 toward charitable causes since its inception in 2012.

Hosted by the Hawaii Lodging & Tourism Association, the annual charity walk is one of the largest fundraisers in the state, providing an opportunity for Hawai‘i’s tourism industry to collectively give back to its local communities. Since 1978, the Charity Walk has raised more than $32 million for Hawai‘i charities. For the island of Kaua‘i, the event supports 60 local Kaua‘i non-profit organizations

The innovative menu at RumFire Poipu Beach features locally sourced cuisine with global influences and an extensive cocktail menu that includes the largest rum selection on Kaua‘i. Table 53 is a private booth with ocean views that overlooks a beautifully landscaped courtyard, inviting fire pits and stunning sunsets. Patrons enjoy the restaurant’s diverse offerings, such as the poke flatbread, or a “flight” of entrees with local favorites like the signature crab-crusted fresh catch and boneless short rib, all while supporting a great cause. The program reminds guests, “The more you dine, the more we donate.”

Patrons who are interested in participating in the Table 53 program at RumFire are encouraged to make reservations in advance by calling 808 742 4786 and requesting Table 53. The table is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Gratuities are paid to the server and taxes remitted to the State of Hawai‘i.
