Lawai Shrine

Lawai Shrine

Nestled in a healing valley revered for centuries, Lawai International Center offers a unique glimpse into cultural harmony. This non-profit gem boasts 88 miniature shrines, built in 1904 by Japanese immigrants to replicate an ancient pilgrimage route in Japan.

Today, it is the only one of its kind outside Japan, offering a poignant connection to Buddhist history and a vibrant center for compassion, education, and cultural exchange.
