Galerie 103 at The Shops at Kukui‘ula will debut today an eclectic survey of most recent paintings, sculpture, works on paper, mixed media and photography by the gallery’s featured artists, highlighting current work by Margaret Ezekiel, Sally French, Tom Lieber and Deyana Mielke, among others.

The exhibition marks Galerie 103’s fifth anniversary. The opening reception is this evening with live music by PowerHound, a local band that started back in 2005 as a way of playing music differently.

PowerHound plays a more conceptually based music, their own form of electrosonic art. What does that mean? It means they are going to be playing stuff we have never heard before.

Then, on Sept. 20, give IFOK a try. Come attend the Independent Filmmakers of Kaua‘i event, called Film Nights South, at Galerie 103, starting at 7 p.m.

Call Tony LeHoven at 828-0101 for information on the submission process and featured films. Visit www.ifok.co for additional information.

Galerie 103 is at The Shops at Kukui‘ula, at 2829 Ala Kalanikaumaka in Po‘ipu. Call 742-0103 for more information.
