Road Closures for Annual ‘Concert in the Sky’ at Vidinha Stadium

The 29th Annual Kaua‘i Hospice “Concert in the Sky” is scheduled for today, July 4, from 3 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Vidinha Stadium Soccer Field in Līhu‘e.

To accommodate the event, the Kaua‘i Police Department will close off Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Highway (from Ahukini Road to Rice Street), and Rice Street (from Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Highway to Ho‘olako Street), throughout the duration of the fireworks show, which is tentatively scheduled to begin at 8:15 p.m.

At the conclusion of the fireworks show, officers will be directing traffic out of the stadium parking lot until approximately 10:30 p.m. During this time, Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Highway will be northbound only from Ka‘ana Street, and southbound only from Halau Street. Ho‘olako Street will be southbound only, from Vidinha Stadium to Rice Street.

Motorists should allow additional time to get to their destinations as traffic delays are expected.
