The Kaua’i Police Activities League (K-PAL) announces registration for its inaugural K-PAL Hammerhead Sprint Triathlon and 5K Fun Run/Walk to be held in Līhu‘e on Sunday, July 17 at 7 a.m.

The triathlon will start with a 500M swim at Nāwiliwili Bay, followed by a 14-mile bike ride from Nāwiliwili to Hanamā‘ulu and back, and will end with a 3.1-mile run along Kapule Highway.

The triathlon fee is $50 per person or $100 for a group relay. Triathlon participants must be at least 18 years old.

There will also be a 5K Fun Run/Walk that starts and ends at Vidinha Stadium.

The Fun Run/Walk is $35 for adults and $15 for youth, ages 17 and under. Keiki who bring a canned good donation for the Kaua‘i Independent Food Bank will receive a $5 discount on the youth registration fee.
