a Plantation Days Event sponsored by Women In Theatre

SUNDAY, July 27th from 4 – 5 pm
at Plantation Gardens Restaurant Lanai –
2253 Poipu Road in Koloa

Enjoy tea and talk story with “living treasure” David Penhallow Scott on the lanai of the beautifully restored estate that once served as the plantation manager’s home for Hawaii’s first sugar plantation. Penhallow Scott transports us to the eve of World War II, as he shares his first-hand memories of growing up Kauai and Oahu in the 1930s and 40s. He paints a picture of sugar plantation society — before, during and after the bombing of Pearl Harbor — as Hawaii and all its residents are swept up onto the stage of world war.
