Mayor invites public to upcoming community meetings

Mayor Bernard P. Carvalho, Jr. announces the dates for the upcoming series of community meetings, as part of the county’s ongoing outreach effort.

All meetings will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. on the following dates:

·         Monday, Feb. 3 – Kapa‘a Neighborhood Center

·         Monday, Feb. 10  – Hanapēpē Neighborhood Center

·         Thursday, Feb. 13 – Kōloa Neighborhood Center

·         Tuesday, Feb. 18 – Kekaha Neighborhood Center

Each presentation will include a report of islandwide and regional projects of interest, including an update on bus shelters, the Adolescent Treatment and Healing Center, new tsunami evacuation maps and the upcoming Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) classes. Representatives from each county agency will be in attendance to allow for an interactive question and answer period at each meeting.
