Kaua‘i Island Utility Cooperative is advising North Shore residents between Princeville Airport and Waikoko that power will be off on Monday, April 13 from 10:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. for work on the transmission line near the Hanalei Bridge, according to co-op’s new release.
During this time, the eastbound lane of Kūhiō Highway will be closed to alternating traffic so crews can move the transmission lines from a pole near the river to a pole across the highway.
KIUC is advising motorists to drive safely through the work area.
