KIUC Nominating Committee Selects 5 Candidates for Board Election

The Kaua‘i Island Utility Cooperative Nominating Committee has selected five candidates for its Board of Directors election on March 10, 2018. Three of the nine director positions are up for election annually.

The nominated candidates are, in alphabetical order:

• Patrick S. Gegen
• Scott N. Giarman
• David Iha
• Janet L. Kass
• Teofilo Phil Tacbian

Members can also run for the cooperative’s board by submitting a petition with the names of at least 35 members by the close of business on Wednesday, January 3, 2018.

All potential candidates must complete the Prospective Director Candidate Application and Authority to Release Information form, comply with Board Policy 18 and attend an orientation to confirm a willingness to serve.
