KIUC To Host Energy Efficiency Workshops

Learn how to conserve energy and save on your electric bill at a series of workshops to be held this month on Kauaʻi.

The workshops, titled “Simple Energy Wise Tips” will be presented by Helen Wai as follows:

 Monday, May 15, 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Waimea Neighborhood Center

 Tuesday, May 30, 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Anahola Clubhouse

 Tuesday, May 30, 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Kapaʻa Middle School Cafeteria

“We’ve taken this information throughout the state over the past several years and helped residents save literally hundreds of dollars on their annual electricity bill,” stated Wai. “Smarter use of appliances, computers and even small changes to your daily routine can make a big difference on your bill.”

The workshops are free and open to the public and are sponsored by KIUC. Light refreshments will be served at each session, and attendees will be eligible to win free energy-saving devices.
