The Kaua‘i Fire Department is announcing that KFD personnel and state firefighters will be conducting training at the former Coco Palms site in Wailua Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 18-20, according to a news release from the County of Kaua‘i.

“We will be training Recruit Class 30, Airport Fire Personnel, Senior KFD members, and other firefighters from the State,” KFD Chief Steven Goble said. “Mahalo to Coco Palms Hui LLC for agreeing to have this class deliver Fire Ground Operations skills and Fire Fighting Mindset training to meet the safety needs of the public.”

Training will be conducted at the northern-most building towards the Shell Gas Station.

Additionally, personnel consulted with the Kaua‘i District Health Office and will adhere to COVID-19 guidelines and best safety practices during the training.
