Kauai Community Players Auditions Oct. 21

Calling all actor/singers!

Kauai Community Players announces auditions for “The Last Five Years”, a two-character musical by Jason Robert Brown, directed for KCP by Jennifer Downs. Auditions will be held on Tuesday, October 21 at 6:30pm at the Puhi Theatrical Warehouse.

“The Last Five Years” is an emotionally powerful and intimate musical about two New Yorkers who fall in and out of love over the course of five years. The show’s unconventional structure has Cathy, the woman, telling her story backwards while Jamie, the man, tells his story chronologically; the two characters only meet once, at their wedding in the middle of the show.
Ages are 20s to30s. Voices are soprano and baritone. Auditioners should prepare a song from the show. To preview the songs, go to Music Theatre International. Sheet music is available on musicnotes.com.
Jennifer Downs is an experienced actor and director with a degree in theater. She has directed several plays for Hawaii Children’s Theatre and “Christmas Belles” for KCP.
