Anaina Hou Community Park (home of Kauai Mini Golf) To present Free First Friday Film: “Surf’s Up” Friday, July 7, 2017 at 6:00pm

Anaina Hou Community Park, home of Kauai Mini Golf, is pleased to present “Surf’s Up”, on Friday, June 7, 2017, the sixth film in their 2017 Free First Friday Film Series. This event is made possible thanks to the generous underwriting support of Papalani Gelato.

“Summer is here and ‘Surf’s Up’ at Anaina Hou” shared Thomas Daubert, Executive Director of Anaina Hou. “This family-friendly movie is a about a teenage penguin whose love of surfing forces him to leave home to try and win the biggest surfing competition in the penguin surfing world. Please allow us to be your spot for free family entertainment on the North Shore every first friday!”

Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and beach chairs, lounge on the Mini Golf lawn, and arrive by 6:00pm to save their spot on the lawn. Refreshments, Papalani Gelato, and dinner are available through the Café. The film will begin at dusk.

The event will also feature a presentation by representatives of the Kauai North Shore Community Foundation as they gear up for Ohana Fit Fest on July 22, 2017.

The Anaina Hou Free First Friday Film Series will continue each month through October.

This event is presented by Anaina Hou Community Park, a non-profit organization located near the heart of Kilauea on the North Shore of Kauai. The organization and was established in 2010 to provide the Kauai community with an exciting new gathering place. Today, Anaina Hou features Kauai Mini Golf and Botanical Gardens, a Café and Gift Store, access to hiking and mountain biking the Wai Koa Loop Trail, two weekly Farmer’s Markets featuring local food and crafts, a Playground and Skate Park for our keiki, HI-5 redemption, free events including the Kilauea Night Market and Free Movie Series, and more.
