Ukulele Paradise

Experience an evening of beautiful hula and mele with a cast of Kaua‘i stars at the “Ho‘onani Hula Celebration — A Lei of Kaua‘i Stars” presented by Embrace and Celebrate Kaua‘i at the Courtyard by Marriott in Kapa‘a Feb. 22.

The evening will kick off with a Hawaiian blessing by Kahu Chock, followed by oli and kahiko by Kumu Hula Hinano Lazaro.

The event includes eight performances by Hui O Mapuana’s Hula Nani from Japan and special guest Ukulele Paradise band from Japan, under the leadership of Mr. Toshiro Harasawa. The event will also showcase the first Kaua‘i Hula Girl Japan Competition.

Lady Ipo Kahaunaele, Art Umezu and Kumu Hula Maka Herrod will emcee the evening.

The show is Feb. 22 from 5 to 9 p.m.

Tickets in advance are $10 (adults only over 18 years old) available at Kaua‘i Museum in Lihu‘e and Kaua‘i Music and Sound in Kapa‘a. Tickets at the door will be $15. But get your tickets soon because seating is limited.
