Motorists and residents are advised that construction work will begin July 20 at the intersection of Haleko Road, Old Nawiliwili Road and Pua Loke Street. This is to allow Unlimited Construction Services Inc. to make utility and intersection improvements for the Department of Water’s (DOW) Lihue Baseyard Improvements Project.
Work hours will be from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Traffic will be diverted through the intersection during phases 1, 2 and 5. The intersection will be closed to through traffic beginningJuly 30. Motorists will need to detour around the intersection during phases 3 and 4. A full description of the road closures and supplemental maps are included at the end of this release.Motorists are advised to use alternate routes during this time. Motorists and pedestrians are also advised to proceed with caution around the work area and allow extra time to get to their destinations. 

Work is anticipated to complete by mid-September.The DOW and Unlimited Construction Services Inc. thanks residents and visitors for their patience and apologizes in advance for any inconvenience.
