This Thursday, Ugly Aloha Shirt bicycle riders will have an opportunity to get a peek into the new Hōkūala Kauaʻi Resort community, near Kauaʻi Lagoons.

Riders will ride on paths that meander throughout the lush gardens and new recreational trails at Hōkūala. Water and lemonade station will be set up for a refreshing stop along the way.

The ride starts at 4:40 p.m. at Līhu‘e Civic Center parking lot, on the mauka side of Hardy Street. It should be over by 6:30 p.m. Helmets are a requirement.

Call 639-1018 or visit www.kauaipath.org for more information.

And while you’re at it, save the date — and your bright shirt — for Saturday, June 4, when another Ugly Aloha Shirt ride will take place, this time on the South Shore. This ride, planned for mountain bikes, starts at 8 a.m. at Po‘ipū Shopping Center and goes all the way to Māhā‘ulepū.
