GIRL SCOUTS OF HAWAIʻI TROOP 823 PARTICIPATED IN  “HAVE A RICE DAY” FOOD DRIVE

On March 17 and 18, Girl Scouts of Hawaiʻi Troop 823 partnered with the Kauai Branch of the Hawaii Foodbank to participate in its annual “Have A Rice Day” food drive. The food drive encouraged Kauai residents to donate bags of rice at various Safeway branches in support of the Hawaii Foodbank. The scouts collected over 700 bags of rice at the Lihue Safeway in the two-day period.

The Troop 823 service project is a perfect example of the Girl Scouts mission to build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.
