Grab your blankets and lawn chairs, bring your keiki, and swing by Anaina Hou Community Park, home of Kauai Mini Golf and Botanical Garden, to catch a few of your favorite classic family movies this summer!

Anaina Hou is excited to present the second film in a free three-part Summer Movie Series, “Princess Bride”, on Friday, July 31, 2015. The series will conclude with its final screening on Friday, August 28, 2015.

“Summer is a great time for the community to come together, talk story and enjoy a great family movie under the stars,” says Jordan Wyle, Executive Director of Anaina Hou Community Park. “Anaina Hou means ‘a gathering place,’ so we are pleased to be able to continue this annual tradition and offer family-friendly kama`aina events designed to bring our diverse community together.”

The movie will be screened on the grassy lawn at Kauai Mini Golf. The community is encouraged to come early and save a spot.  Refreshments and dinner will be available for purchase from Namahana Café and the film will begin at sunset.

This event is presented by Anaina Hou Community Park (AHCP) “A New Gathering Place” in Kilauea. AHCP is a growing non-profit organization located near the heart of Kilauea on the North Shore of Kauai and was established in 2010 to provide the Kauai community with an exciting new gathering place focused on education, recreation and agriculture. Attracting more than 50,000 families a year, AHCP features Kauai Miniature Golf and Botanical Gardens, a cafe and gift shop, an amazing trail for hikers and mountain bikers, playground and skate ramps for children, a Kauai Bus park and ride, and two weekly farmers’ markets. It will soon feature a state of the art performing arts complex, including a 250-seat indoor theater, conference rooms, and outdoor event space.
