Bob Swiryn, D.C. offers a free chiropractic clinic each Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. specifically for children and youth ages 17 and under. Treament includes spinal exam and adjustments, as needed.

“I’m trying to help some of the people in our community who aren’t covered by health insurance, or who haven’t had the opportunity to see a chiropractor,” says Swiryn. “Even those who have health insurance are often limited to medical therapies and procedures which, although useful for serious diseases and trauma, are often ineffective in cases of common back pain, neck pain and headaches.

“I’m hoping that people who feel the need to consult their medical doctors for these types of problems because that’s the only thing their insurance will cover will be willing to try a natural alternative to drugs and surgery.”

Swiryn says he has another reason for offering a free clinic for children.

“Many adult patients I see come in with problems which began much earlier in life. Sports injuries, falls and other accidents — even birth trauma — can develop into chronic problems later on, if left uncorrected.”
