Join National Tropical Botanical Garden Director and CEO Chipper Wichman as he relives a journey to Yunnan Province in Southwest China, tracing the travels of legendary botanist and explorer Joseph Rock.

From the foothills of Tibet to the steamy tropics along the Mekong River, Chipper traveled to some of the most ethnically and biologically diverse regions of China while visiting remarkable botanical gardens. He will share his experience March 14 at Kaua‘i Community College at 5:30 p.m.

The “Seeds of Thought” lecture series is one of many collaborations between the nonprofit NTBG and KCC. Both share a common goal of quality education to truly change lives. NTBG is headquartered in Kalāheo. KCC, which is part of the University of Hawai‘i system, operates a large campus in Puhi.
