County of Kaua‘i officials, in partnership with Ishihara Market and Intellectual Technology Inc. (ITI), launched last Thursday the island’s third self-service kiosk for motor vehicle registrations at Ishihara Market in Waimea, according to a county news release.

“We worked closely with our vendor, ITI, and Ishihara Market to build this partnership, which is in line with the county’s customer service initiative to decentralize services, to cut back on traffic, and give our residents and businesses an alternative method to pay for their motor vehicle registrations,” Mayor Derek Kawakami said. “Mahalo also to our Finance Department Team and our County Council for their support.”

This self-service kiosk will allow customers to pay for their motor vehicle registrations via a touchscreen by entering their license plate number or scanning the bar code of their motor vehicle renewal form. Customers may only use debit or credit cards for transactions, fees for these services are currently being waived by the county. Once a transaction is made, the kiosk will print out the vehicle registration and license plate tabs instantly.

Motor vehicle registrations may also be paid for online at https://mvr.ehawaii.gov/renewals/kauai.
