Pr-MilaniLihue, Kauai, HI The Zonta Club of Kaua`i meets on the first Thursday of each month. On Thursday, May 2nd, the Zonta Club will have the pleasure of being introduced to Miliani Pimental, the director of Development at Kaua`i Habitat for Humanity.

The director of development at Kauai Habitat for Humanity raises funds for its mission – to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. As director of development, Milani oversees all fund development initiatives for Kaua‘i Habitat for Humanity including: annual and major gifts, planned giving, grant writing, sponsorships, and special events.  Milani joined the affiliate in 2010 and has over ten years experience in nonprofit fundraising. Prior to Habitat, she served as the director of annual giving for the National Tropical Botanical Garden.
Milani was born on the west side of Kauai and grew up in the northern suburbs of Chicago. She attended Loyola University Chicago where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She is a Po‘aha Fellow of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (Aloha Chapter) and a board member of West Kauai American Youth Soccer Organization. Milani has been living on Kauai for the last fourteen years and resides in Kalaheo with her husband and three children.
