The Kaua‘i Fatherhood Council and the County of Kaua‘i invite men to attend the second annual Men’s Conference on Saturday, Oct. 28, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Smith’s Tropical Paradise in Wailua. To register for the free event, please visit www.eventbrite.com and search for “Kaua‘i Men’s Conference.”

“After the success of last year’s conference, the Kaua‘i Fatherhood Council and the County of Kaua‘i saw an opportunity to provide additional encouragement to men and fathers in our community,” said Mayor Bernard P. Carvalho Jr. “We’ve received an overwhelming amount of support from key male leaders who are willing to share their mana‘o, and we encourage all men and fathers to attend this conference.”

The conference is free and open to men age 18 and older, and fathers of any age. The purpose of the conference is to supply men with a toolkit of knowledge in which to support their relationships with their family and community.

“The goal of the Kauai Men’s Conference is to be inclusive and to provide a safe space for all men to gather together in an uplifting environment,” according to the Kaua‘i Fatherhood Council.

The mission of the Kaua‘i Fatherhood Council is to encourage male presence and male involvement in Kaua‘i’s families and community.
