As part of the West Kaua‘i Community Plan process, the County Planning Department is holding community workshops focused on heritage resources, transportation and economic development.

“We appreciate everyone who attended the first four workshops in November and December, and encourage West Kaua‘i residents continue participating,” said County Planning Director Ka‘āina Hull.

Summary reports are available on www.westkauaiplan.org for the previous workshops covering the topics of shared spaces, housing, and infrastructure.

All upcoming workshops will have a regional focus. The schedule is as follows:

Heritage Resources Focused Workshops

Hanapēpē Library — Wednesday, Jan. 23, 5 to 7 p.m.
Kekaha Neighborhood Center — Thursday, Jan. 24, 5 to 7 p.m.

Transportation Focused Workshops

Hanapēpē Library — Tuesday, Feb. 26, 5 to 7 p.m.
Kekaha Neighborhood Center — Wednesday, Feb. 27, 5 to 7 p.m.

Economic Development Focused Workshops

Hanapēpē Library — Wednesday, March 27, 5 to 7 p.m.
Kekaha Neighborhood Center — Thursday, March 28, 5 to 7 p.m.

To facilitate resident participation, all workshops are scheduled in the evenings and dinner will be provided.

To request an ASL interpreter, materials in an alternate format, or other auxiliary aid support, or an interpreter for a language other than English, contact the Planning Department at 241-4050 at least seven business days before the event.
