County announces holiday closures

In observance of Memorial Day, County of Kaua‘i offices will be closed on Monday, May 27, along with all refuse transfer stations.

In addition, all of the neighborhood centers will be closed on the holiday.

The Kapa‘a and Waimea swimming pools, which are normally closed on Mondays, will observe the holiday on Tuesday, May 28, and will resume their normal hours on Wednesday, May 29.

All of the HI-5 bottle redemption centers and the Puhi Metals Recycling Center will also be closed on Memorial Day.

The schedule for residential refuse pick-up will remain unchanged. The Kekaha Landfill will also be open from 8 to 10:30 a.m. for commercial businesses and the public.

The Kaua‘i Bus will be operating on a modified schedule on the holiday.

Normal business hours for county offices and services will resume on Tuesday, May 28.
