Construction of Lydgate-Kapa‘a Path Scheduled Through August

The County of Kaua‘i, Department of Public Works and Cushnie Construction Company announced Phase C construction of the Lydgate Park to Kapa‘a  Bike and Pedestrian Path, weekdays, from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The new path will connect the Uhelekawakawa Canal Bridge to the existing path fronting the Sheraton Kaua‘i Coconut Beach. Construction of the new path and improvements will take approximately nine months to complete, according to a county news release.

The $1.1 million project is funded via the Federal Highway Administration fund.
