Run for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life team Colors For Cancer in the most colorful event of the year Saturday, May 31, 2014 beginning at 9 a.m. at the Vidinha Stadium Soccer Fields, with day of registration opening at 7:30 a.m. All proceeds will be donated to the team Color For Cancer in support of the American Cancer Society.

Kaua‘i High School senior Heidi Herr has created this event as her senior project for the class of 2014. The race was first held Feb. 8, which attracted more than 200 runners, who ran for fun in support of the American Cancer Society. Since the initial event was such a success, Heidi has decided to continue her efforts to support cancer research by holding another fun run. “Everyone had so much fun in the first race, I just couldn’t resist having another one to kick off summer!” says Heidi. This run also will circle Vidinha Stadium soccer fields for a total of 3 miles, with plenty of excitement along the way. As participants ages 3 and up are running, they will be sprayed with a rainbow of colored powders, making this run the most colorful 3 miles on Kaua‘i.
