The 7th Annual Kauai Sings! Christmas Edition, held at Kilohana Pavilion on Dec 21, 2013, hit record fundraising levels with over 400 in attendance and al-most $25,000 raised. A major contributor was Enterprise Rent-A-Car who gave $1,500 to support the good work of Mālama Pono Health Services. Presented during the appeal por-tion of the night, Mark Stein, Group Rental Manager for Kaua’i, presented the check to Mi-chael Sorensen who then asked, “are there any others in the crowd who can match them” In graceful style, additional pledges were garnered, including one for $5,000 from the agency’s Board of Directors and one patron, and an additional $1,500 from another. The total raised was more than a 300% increase over 2012.

“Enterprise Holdings has been a supporter of Mālama Pono for a few years now,” said Mr. Stein. “The company makes gifts to strong organizations making big differences in the communities where we do business. We are happy to support Mālama Pono and their ef-forts to the fight HIV, Viral Hepatitis and other STDs here.”

Kaua’i Sings finished its 7th year, bringing music and voice to the people of Kaua’i and fund-ing for the mission driven work of Mālama Pono. Kaua’i Sings is produced by Lucky Dog Productions and Mālama Pono Heath Services, led by Jason Blake. Most of the talent of-fers their services free of charge.
