Educational Workshop with Dr. Kerry Dillberg and Dr. Sam Berne

An educational workshop, Holistic Healthcare to Prevent Cognitive Disorders and Learning Disabilities, is scheduled for Saturday, October 5^th at 1:00 pm at the Lihue Neighborhood Center. This Workshop offers an understanding how vision is related to brain activity and how we can build and maintain vitality to correct dysfunction and avoid cognitive disorders, ADHD, and problems related to Mental/Emotional stress.

Early registration is $15 if paid by September 25, 2013 or $25 at the door.  The schedule includes four sessions by renowned experts Dr. Kerry Dillberg of Dillberg Integrated Healthcare in Poipu and Dr. Sam Berne, educator at the Esalen Institute.

Session one begins at 1:00 pm with Dr. Dillberg discussing the true nature of health.  He will focus on where health comes from, how to maintain it, and how to get it back if it has been compromised.  At 2:00 pm Dr. Berne will educate on trauma, stress, and toxicities and how they are the main factors in developmental delays in children. He will also review the causative factors that affect learning and attention, specifically in the gestation, birth, and bonding experience.  At 3:15 pm Dr. Berne will return for a 1.5 hour experiential session that will introduce parents to a sensory-motor movement process. After a 30 minute discussion about sensory motor development and learning what each parent’s individual issue is with their child, he will lead a series of sound and breathing practices, as well as movement sequences.  The goal is to help each child begin to develop a more fluid, integrated sensory-motor system.  At 4:45 Dr. Dillberg will complete the workshop with a Neuro Emotional demonstration showing how the thought process impacts the nervous system and organ function.
