The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center will be on-site at the Kaua‘i Resource Center at 3460 Ahukini Road in Līhu‘e for its monthly donation event from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 12, according to a news release from the County of Kaua‘i.

Residents, businesses, and other organizations can bring unwanted or unneeded reuse items, including clothing, small furniture, children’s toys, books and shoes. Clothing and textiles do not need to be in good condition. Torn or stained clothing is okay. Please do not bring eWaste, chemicals, appliances or broken items.

Salvation Army is encouraging the public to check with their local thrift stores to see if they can take donations before bringing items to the KRC.

On-site customers are requested to maintain social distancing, wear a mask and follow all directions from ARC and county staff.

The ARC also offers pick-up services to thrift stores and businesses. Call 241-4336 to schedule a new service. Due to COVID restrictions, businesses not currently on the list will be added for service in March. For individuals that would like home pick-up service, contact the nonprofit Habitat for Humanity Restore at 335-6105, or RP’s Random Closet (a for-profit agency) at 346-0020.
