The Shops at Kukui‘ula celebrates the 42nd Annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk with a special Flavors of Kukui‘ula benefit event on Friday, March 13, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

As Kaua‘i’s largest family-friendly pau hana party, this event will feature culinary “street food” sold by participating restaurants, a Wine & Beer Garden, a chance to meet local charities and a silent auction benefiting the Kaua‘i Charity Walk with prizes including restaurant gift cards, local activity packages and much more. Plus, guests can enjoy a free concert featuring Kauai’s own Latin band, Rumba de Fuego. Ron Wiley will be the event’s Master Emcee.

Since its inception in 1978, the Visitor Industry Charity Walk has raised more than $32 million and helped hundreds of local charities throughout the state of Hawai‘i. Last year local families, small businesses, public and private entities and more than 2,000 walkers raised over $450,000 to help Kaua‘i charities. This year’s Kaua‘i Charity Walk will be held at 7 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, with registration starting at 6:30 a.m. at Vidinha Soccer Field.

“We are grateful to have such a strong partnership with Alexander & Baldwin and their property, The Shops at Kukui‘ula, and we appreciate their collective fundraising efforts for the Kaua‘i Charity Walk and other local non-profits,” said Matthew Ellis, Chairperson of The 42nd Annual Kaua‘i Charity Walk.

“We look forward to this yearly event and can’t wait to welcome our guests with great food, drinks and entertainment, all for such an amazing cause,” said Stacie Chiba-Miguel, general manager at The Shops at Kukui‘ula. “We love being involved in the annual Charity Walk and cherish our partnerships with our local community.”
