Improvements to roads that are federally-funded, which include a total of 6.7 miles and $20 million of construction work for Kōloa and Maluhia roads, are in the final stages of federal and state environmental clearance, and are tentatively set to start construction in early 2020.

A community meeting regarding Kōloa and Maluhia roads is set for June 25 at Kōloa Elementary School from 6 to 8 p.m.
