Come for a great night of music! The concert will feature Guest Conductor Warrant Officer Stephen J. Talbot of the U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific Band. He will work for one week of intense rehearsals with the Kaua`i Youth Honor Band and be a guest conductor for the KCC Wind Ensemble. The Kaua`i Youth Honor Band is made up of students from all different schools who are nominated by their band directors to participate. These are the best and most dedicated students in each of their respective band programs and we will put them together with the KCC Wind Symphony for a night of terrific band music! Friday, May 17 Sierra Club Hike Open To The Public – Sunset to Full Moon Coastal Walk
East Shore. Moderate 4.5 miles one way. We start off in the late afternoon meeting at Kapa`a Library to shuttle our cars to Donkey Beach starting our walk from there and ending back at the library as we watch the moon rise over the ocean. Learn how the Planning Commission was legally challenged to assure increased building setbacks along the ridge to preserve the views on and along the coastline.
