Retired and Senior Volunteer Advisory Program (RSVP) Council members gathered gift bags that were delivered to homebound veterans in appreciation for their sacrifice and service in time for Veterans Day, according to a county news release.

These gifts were presented to the Agency on Elderly Affairs Information & Referral staff and representatives of the Kaua‘i Veterans Council on Nov. 9. The gift bags included a gift card, a letter of appreciation from the Advisory Council, AEA and RSVP info brochures, a RSVP lunch tote, and an AEA plastic portfolio protector.

The gifts were purchased thanks to a donation from the RSVP Advisory Council and through efforts of a collection drive held during the month of September as part of the Corporation for National and Community Service September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance.

Kaua‘i RSVP is a SeniorCorps program of the Corporation for National and Community Service and is sponsored by the County of Kaua‘i Agency on Elderly Affairs.
