The next Bikes on Rice bicycle ride is coming up this afternoon. Join the crew at the Lihu‘e Civic Center, 4444 Rice Street, at the round (Moikeha) building on the Rice Street side of the campus, for a one-hour, slow-paced social ride around Lihu‘e’s quiet neighborhoods.

Nobody gets left behind. They meet up at 4:30 p.m. and roll out at 4:45 p.m. The July ride features a pit stop at the Lihu‘e Neighborhood Center for treats and water. Check out the route at Bikesonrice.org.

“I’d love to see you on this easy-paced slow roll, and please bring your friends, family, and co-workers! It’s great fun, and a good way to meet some new friends,” Tommy Noyes said. “See you on Tuesday!”

Kaua‘i Path and friends have some bikes available (kids and adult sizes) to loan out, as well as free helmets that you may keep. Just reply or call or text Tommy Noyes at (808) 639-1018 to let him know ahead of time and he can most likely bring a bike for you.

As a ride sponsor, Briggs Bicycles will be there early, so if you need your bike checked out, please arrive early enough for an inspection. The crew accepts donations of used bikes for the benefit of folks around the community unable to purchase a bike on their own, so if you have one with some life left in it that you’d like to pass on please bring it, or drop it off at Briggs Bicycles.
