On July 28th, 2012, the Church of the Pacific held its First Annual Kauai’s Got Talent to a sold out crowd! It was a great hit showcasing 19 acts from the ages of 5 to 21. The contestants consisted of an aerialist, a rock band, and many singers, dancers, violinists and pianists!

North Shore’s 14 year old phenom singer, Madison, opened the event with two numbers and Thomas, host of KKCR’s Jungle Jukebox MC’d the event. Judges were Steve Bachinoff, Koko Kanealii, Randy Leonard, and Joyce Anglemyer.

The top winners, Alessia Sanchez, Zeltyha Mata, and Hailey Murphy took home prizes of $300, $200 and $100 respectively.

Kauai’s Got Talent was created primarily as a fun community family event to showcase Kauai’s young talent, with any proceeds to go to the Church of the Pacific’s Outreach Ministries.

Our event was taped by Hoike Community Television. Look for it on their upcoming schedule.

We are already starting to plan next year’s event! Contact Jeni Hardy at info@church-of-the-pacific.org to be added to our 2013 KGT mailing list.
