For most people, The Salvation Army is known for their response in disaster, like Hurricane Iniki! But day-to-day, every day they respond to the needs of the most needy in our community, providing basic needs such as food, clothing and household goods. Their new programs address contemporary needs including keiki, adult and kupuna camps, holiday assistance, weekly programs for youth and seniors, as well as disaster and emergency services. In addition, The Salvation Army’s Lihue and Hanapepe Corps work in collaboration with The Salvation Army’s drug and rehabilitation programs on Oahu to provide Kaua‘i residents with care and support to ensure their sobriety is maintained post-treatment.

In August, The Salvation Army of Kaua‘i, in partnership with the American Culinary Federation – Kaua‘i Chapter is celebrating 120 years of Doing the Most Good in Kaua‘i! Please join us on Friday, August 11th at the Kauai Marriott Resort from 5:00 to 8:30 P.M. for a wonderful event filled with signature selections from top island chefs.
