Sheraton Kauai Resort’s Table 53 Supports Mobile Munchies in July

RumFire Poipu Beach is proud to announce that the Mobile Munchies Outreach Program has been selected as its Table 53 beneficiary in July. Table 53 at Sheraton Kauai Resort’s oceanfront restaurant donates all net food and beverage proceeds from the designated table to a different local nonprofit organization each month. Table 53 has raised more than $185,000 toward charitable causes since its inception in 2012.

The Mobile Munchies program provides healthy meals to economically challenged kupuna (elders) and keiki (children) on the island of Kaua‘i. The program has provided over 20,000 meals through various distribution points across the island. Support generated through Table 53 will be used for the food and supplies that make up a Mobile Munchie lunch bag.

A Mobile Munchie consists of:
· 1 peanut butter and grape jelly sandwich on whole wheat bread
· 1/4 cup of raisins
· 8 baby carrots
· 1 small bag of chips
· 1 granola bar
· 1 fruit drink

Table 53 is located at RumFire Poipu Beach, a modern oceanfront dining experience. The restaurant’s innovative menu features locally sourced cuisine with global influences and an extensive cocktail menu that includes the largest rum selection on Kaua‘i. Table 53 is a private booth that overlooks a beautifully landscaped Ocean Courtyard, inviting fire pits and stunning sunsets. Enjoy the restaurant’s diverse offerings, such as the Beet-Stained Maui Nui Venison Tartare, or a “flight” of entrees with local favorites like Misoyaki Butterfish and Wasabi Pea-Crusted Ahi, all while supporting a great cause. The program reminds guests, “The more you dine, the more we donate.”

Patrons who are interested in participating in RumFire’s Table 53 program are encouraged to make reservations in advance by calling 808 742 4786 and requesting Table #53. The table is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Net proceeds for all food and beverage at Table #53 during dinner service will be donated to the charity of the month, gratuity will be paid to the server and taxes will be remitted to the State of Hawai‘i.
