Waimea Public Library is offering several family-friendly events during June and July to celebrate the Hawaii State Public Library System’s 2017 Summer Reading Program.

On most Mondays starting at 6 pm, the library will host a Family Movie Night, featuring popular titles such as Disney’s Moana, Finding Dory, and Sing.

On Wednesdays from 2-3 pm, children ages 5 and up are welcome to join the Builders’ Club to create with LEGOs–and their imagination!

And on Thursdays, the librarian will present an interactive Early Learning Storytime for families with children ages birth to five years. The first 20-30 minutes are filled with stories, songs, and movement activities, and the rest of the program features open play for babies and toddlers and an art or craft project for older toddlers and preschool-aged children. Young children must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Please note the program schedule is subject to change. If you would like to request a sign language interpreter or other special accommodations, please call the library at least 15 days in advance, at 808-338-6848.
