KFCC to Honor its 2017 Scholarship Recipients

Recipients of the Kaua‘i Filipino Chamber of Commerce Scholarship for 2017 will be honored on Saturday, May 6, at a luncheon in the Paddle Room of Courtyard by Marriott Kauai at Coconut Beach in Kapa‘a.

This year for the first time, KFCC will have a theme, “Trivia,” hosted by Katie’s Trivia Girl Team. Categories for the game are expected to be challenging and fun for all.

KFCC has helped many of young Filipino/Filipina resident students for many years. Its purpose is to assist qualified students who have been accepted to a 2-year or 4-year college. In addition, scholarships for vocational programs are also given to qualified students. KFCC holds an annual golf tournament that is sponsored by many of our local businesses in order to fund this well-worth endeavor.

KFCC is an organization whose mission statement is “Making a difference in our community with leadership, personal development, volunteerism, and community service.”

For those who wish to join the fun of the 2017 Annual Golf Tournament, it will be held on Labor Day, Sept. 4. It is a day of golf, prizes, silent auction, and luncheon! And you would be doing a great deed for our young people on the island.
