WILCOX HEALTH TO HOST DIABETES 101: A HEALTHIER YOU
FREE COMMUNITY EVENT ON APRIL 1, 2017

On Saturday, April 1, 2017, Wilcox Health will host a free community event providing education and resources for those living with or at risk for diabetes. Diabetes 101: A Healthier You will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Wilcox Medical Center and will feature information sessions, healthy meal planning, community resource booths and an Active Living Zone, among other activities.

Diabetes 101 will kick off at 8:30 a.m. with a Walk Around the Block with a Doc, followed by a healthy breakfast and talk on diabetes. Educational sessions will include a closer look at diabetes and its risk factors, an exercise demonstration, and healthy meal planning with a registered dietician. Guests will also receive free health screenings and learn about the latest options and tips on living healthy with diabetes.

Chahanovich, President & CEO of Wilcox Medical Center. “Through events like this, we can provide people with diabetes with the tools and resources they need to understand how to manage their condition in order to live a healthy and productive life.”
