Benefit concert for Mokihana Aquatics featuring Hapa in concert Saturday March 25th Smith’s Tropical Garden Kapaa, Kauai

Celebrating 35 years serving the community Mokihana Aquatics is hosting a benefit concert staring Hapa and Lady Ipo, Saturday March 25th 5pm at Smith’s Tropical Garden Tickets are $35.00 and include a Hawaiian dinner, entertainment, games and prizes. Mokihana Aquatics has been teaching water safety in the community for over 35 years. Some of the various programs include, learn to swim programs for all ages, lifeguard training, competitive swimming and Junior water safety guards. Mokihana Aquatics has also coached more than 1.000 competitive swimmers from ages 5 to 96. Mokihana Aquatics has placed higher than any other swim team on Kauai at a Hawaii State Championship and has produced more high school swimming all stars than any other program. “ We are truly grateful to be part of the community for all these years having touched almost all families in Kauai, this celebration is to honor all the years and memories of our ohana. “ Orlando Anya head coach Mokihana Aquatics.

The proceeds from this benefit will go toward furthering the water safety programs on Kauai and continue to keep water safety education at an affordable level for all that have the need.

“HAPA” is the award winning Na Hoku Hanohano winner for best album in 2006, also winning Song of the year in 1994 and Single of the year. “ Hapa” founder Barry Flanagan is an American Singer-Songwriter, Musician and founder of the acclaimed World Music group HAPA.. Flanagan founded the musical duo on the island of Maui, naming it “HAPA”, a Hawaiian word meaning “half” and also used to describe people of mixed Pacific Island ancestry.
