Lihue old 1Pat L. Griffin, author of Līhuʻe — Root and Branch of a Hawaiʻi Town, thoroughly researched the history, changes and personalities that evolved into the island’s civic center.

On July 26, she will share some of her knowledge during an informal book talk in Līhuʻe. Those attending the event will enjoy seeing places and people ranging from more than 100 years ago to recent past. Griffin will share anecdotes from the olden days in the heart of Kaua‘i.

Local residents and visitors, all welcome to attend this free event, will have a new appreciation for the historic town of Līhuʻe.

Līhuʻe — Root and Branch of a Hawaiʻi Town is available for purchase at the Kaua‘i Museum and at the Kaua‘i Historical Society.

The book talk will be held at the Kaua‘i Museum Courtyard in Līhuʻe July 26 at 5:30 p.m. The event is being sponsored by the KHS, the Kaua‘i Museum and Daughters of Hawai‘i.
