20160419_094853The Kaua‘i Historical Society will hold a unique Rare Book Tour tomorrow; a behind the scenes private expedition through four locations where some of the rarest books about Hawai‘i have been collected and preserved through many decades.

Starting at the Kaua‘i Historical Society in the Historic County Building in Lihu‘e, attendees will walk to the Lihu‘e Public Library, across the street from Wilcox Elementary School. From there, they will meet at the Grove Farm Homestead. The last leg of the tour will be at the National Tropical Botanical Garden in Kalaheo, where there will be a guided tour to look at the rare books in the Sam and Mary Cooke Rare Book Room.

The tour starts at 9 a.m. at the Kaua‘i Historical Society at 4396 Rice St. in Lihu‘e. It will end at 1:30 p.m. at NTBG headquarters in Kalaheo. The price for the tour is $40.
