ReSource for Christian Spirituality is offering its second “Spirit That Heals” event at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church in Lihue on Saturday, March 5, from 8:00am to 3:00pm.

This year’s theme, Daily Grace ~ a Path to Forgiveness, will be dedicated to discovering and forging new paths toward forgiveness in our hearts and lives. The day will begin with three panelists drawn from the Kaua`i community who work on the front lines with those who struggle to extend forgiveness to others or find forgiveness for themselves. They will share their experiences and insights into giving and receiving forgiveness.

Participants will then choose from workshops, which explore Spiritual Writing, The Enneagram, Godly Play, Welcoming Prayer, Gentle Yoga, Holy Listening, and Labyrinths, as practices which are helpful to open pathways to forgiveness.

“It isn’t that forgiveness is unknown—we all know how important forgiveness is to maintain healthy, supportive relationships,” says the director of ReSource for Christian Spirituality, the Rev. Dr. Phyllis Meighen. “We know the words. Many of us know the rituals of the church that give form for asking and receiving God’s forgiveness, for forgiving ourselves, and for forgiving one another. But lasting forgiveness is more than words or ritual. Forgiveness is something that is meant to transform the spirit and the life of the receiver as well as the one who of offers forgiveness.”

Registration for Daily Grace ~ a Path to Forgiveness is $35 in advance and $40 at the door. A vegetarian lunch from The Greenery and workshop materials are included. Register online at  www.resourceforchristianspirituality.com or contact St. Michael’s church office at 2453796, 4364 Hardy St. (next to the Lihue Library) in Lihue.
