Pink is on the Menu at RumFire’s Table 53

Following National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Sheraton Kauai Resort will continue to focus on breast cancer in November through its fundraising program, Table 53, which will benefit Wilcox Health Foundation.

Net proceeds for all food and beverage at Table 53 in the oceanfront RumFire Po‘ipu Beach restaurant will be utilized toward the purchase of a state-of-the-art mammography unit for Wilcox Hospital.

Wilcox Health Foundation’s mission is to serve the Kaua‘i community with accessible, quality health care that surpasses expectations. As an integral part of the Kaua‘i community for 77 years, Wilcox Memorial Hospital is constantly seeking ways to enhance its services and provide quality patient-centered medical care.

Wilcox Health Foundation has been raising funds to purchase a 3D Mammography Unit; the machine’s advanced technology detects breast cancer earlier, sees lesions more clearly and reduces the number of unnecessary biopsies. The cost of this life-saving technology is $550,000.

The Table 53 program is offered at RumFire Po‘ipu Beach on the South Shore, featuring locally sourced cuisine with global influences, exciting cocktails to ignite your palate and over 180-degree oceanfront views from all of its 240 seats.

Table 53 features private booth seating overlooking the beautifully landscaped Ocean Courtyard, inviting fire pits, and Kaua‘i’s stunning sunsets. Guests can enjoy nightly specials and signature RumFire favorites, all while supporting a great cause. The resort encourages guests, “The more you dine, the more we donate.”

More than $115,000 has been raised through the Table 53 program since its inception in October 2012.

Patrons who are interested in participating in RumFire’s Table 53 program are encouraged to make reservations in advance by calling 808.742.4786 and requesting Table 53. The table is available on a first come, first served basis. Net proceeds for all food and beverage at Table 53 during dinner service will be donated to Wilcox Health Foundation, gratuity will be paid to the server and taxes will be remitted to the State of Hawai‘i.
