TABLE 53 COMMITTED TO MAKING KAUA‘I EVEN BETTER – Kauai Police Activities League Named October Beneficiary

–Sheraton Kauai Resort continues to support the Kaua‘i community through its charity fundraising program, Table 53, which will benefit the Kaua‘i Police Activities League (KPAL) in October. Net proceeds for all food & beverage at Table #53 in the oceanfront RumFire Poipu Beach restaurant will be donated to KPAL during the month-long fundraiser. Over $110,000 has been raised through the Table 53 program since its inception in October 2012.

Launched in 2003, KPAL is a crime and drug-prevention program offering a wide range of sports and recreational activities for Kaua‘i’s youth. The program, which provides a mentoring opportunity while deterring criminal activities, is Kaua‘i Police Department’s commitment to making Kaua‘i a better, safer place to live through prevention, community service and educational outreach. KPAL’s motto, “Filling playgrounds, not prisons,” is the goal it strives toward every day.

The Table 53 program is offered at RumFire Poipu Beach, the south shore’s oceanfront hot spot, featuring locally sourced cuisine with global influences, exciting cocktails to ignite your palate and over 180-degree oceanfront views from all of its 240 seats. Table 53 features private booth seating overlooking the beautifully landscaped Ocean Courtyard, inviting fire pits, and Kaua’i’s stunning sunsets. The table is available on a first come, first served basis. Net proceeds for all food and beverage at Table #53 during dinner service will be donated to KPAL, gratuity will be paid to the server and taxes will be remitted to the State of Hawai‘i.
