The Kaua’i Police Department and Life’s Choices Kaua’i are teaming up to collect unused or expired prescription medication and other drugs on Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, Sept. 26 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at KPD headquarters in Lihue.

Tablets, capsules, and all other solid dosage forms will be accepted during the event. All other drugs and drug paraphernalia will also be collected. Needles and syringes will not be accepted.
Drop-offs are accepted anonymously, no questions asked.

The Drug Take Back program is part of a national initiative which aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription and other drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.
